I like the reflection in the window. Great subject, too. Think it would work better if you cropped the top part of the pic out.

Indeed a very nice portrait of your Mom. I do find that over-exposed area in the background distracting. You could mask it with the healing brush in PS and then maybe crop out some of the top and left side.
